This includes the handling of warranty calls, delivery of vessels, training crew members, delivery of spare parts, providing maintenance, and execute modifications &amp; repairs.<\/p>\n<p>Damen Services&#8217; mission is to support the sales organization of Damen in selling vessels by providing additional value in the form of services. After the sale of a ship, excellent services are delivered in order to increase the likelihood that a customer will choose Damen again to buy a ship for replacement or expansion.<\/p>\n<p>At the operational level, the Services department maintains contact with clients and is the eyes and ears of the sales organization. Damen Services is a dynamic organization due to its global character. We&#8217;ve cultivated a culture where entrepreneurship thrives and fellowship is paramount, emphasizing that our commitment to excellence is not just a mere statement but the very essence of who we are.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your Role in Our Evolution<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a&nbsp;<strong>Category Buyer<\/strong>&nbsp;in the&nbsp;<strong>Strategic Supply Chain department,<\/strong>&nbsp;you will serve as the linchpin between our organization and original equipment manufacturers, bridging gaps, aligning strategies, and facilitating seamless information exchange.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This role is a good fit for you if you like to do the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop professional relationships in the marketplace to understand industry changes that may impact the company&#8217;s business;<\/li>\n<li>Support our teams abroad with commercial propositions;<\/li>\n<li>Learn from our teams abroad and deploy their success to other areas;<\/li>\n<li>Take a leading role in improvement programs and events aimed at optimizing our global supply chain with Design and Proposal engineers and Account Managers;<\/li>\n<li>Draft, negotiate, and manage service contracts and price agreements with strategic suppliers;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for Supplier Onboarding to TradeCloud, our B2B platform for supply chain integration and e-commerce;<\/li>\n<li>Initiate market research and enhance supplier development to establish, maintain, and ensure a suitable strategic supply base;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>Skills &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preferably possess a bachelor&#8217;s or master&#8217;s degree in a technical or commercial field, enhanced by Nevi course(s);<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing principles, with substantial knowledge and hands-on experience;<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness, complemented by an independent, well-structured, and hands-on approach;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to foster connections and exert influence, coupled with a results-oriented mindset, analytical thinking, and effective leadership qualities;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>What we offer<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We want to make sure you are a happy Category Buyer, so we stimulate you to develop yourself in this position.
