The Role

In your role as Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) you will be responsible for setting up, analyzing, monitoring, reporting and guiding the Quality performance of our Suppliers. This in such a way that Continuous Improvement is fact based and the Cost of poor Quality is visible and in control throughout the whole Supply Chain. The work field is within our whole International Supply Chain.

Key Accountabilities

In this role you will be:

• Setting up with our Supply Chain team a supplier management system for selection, defining requirements, following on performance, escalations and continuous improvement;
• Taking ownership and actively participating in the solution of Supplier Quality issues;
• Striving for and promoting a Data Driven approach to problem solving with the usage of Root Cause Analysis tools;
• Setting up, Maintaining and effectively using the Suppliers Scorecard Process to drive performance improvement;
• Implementing and managing continuous improvement programs with our suppliers to drive measurable and lasting improvements;
• Implementing and managing a measurable Supplier Audit program/assessment (incl ad hoc process audits)

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you bring:

• A Bachelors degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial) or equivalent experience;
• Green or Black Belt / Lean Six Sigma experience including tooling (e.g. SPC, FMEA, 8D;
• A minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing or supply chain management in a complex and dynamic technical environment;
• Self-directed, confident and analytical logical thinking and people person;
• A good oral and written command of both Dutch and English;
• Enthusiasm and good communication and presentation skills;
• Strong analytical capabilities by using e.g. Lean Six Sigma tools;
• The ability to act on one moment as a coach and at another as a judge based on facts;
• The ability to travel internationally on a regular base.
